Rochdale Sixth Form College (RSFC) opened in 2010 to address the significant underachievement in A Level performance in the borough. Since then it has raised achievement in the area dramatically and is recognised nationally as a centre of excellence. The college is rated Ofsted outstanding and, is consistently ranked as one of the highest performing colleges in the country according to the DfE's performance tables and national achievement rate tables.
Rochdale Sixth Form College offers AQA Computer Science A Level to approximately 180 students
across both cohorts. We have a dedicated suite of modern and well-resourced teaching rooms
with state-of-the-art interactive screens in each classroom. Staff within the department have high
standards and expectations, which has led to achieving outstanding results.
We are currently seeking a passionate Subject Leader of Computer Science to join our dedicated team. Responsible for maximizing student achievement and fostering a culture of excellence, you will lead a department known for its outstanding results.
As a Subject Leader, you will
- Report to the Faculty Lead and manage teachers within the Computer Science department
- Ensure a stimulating learning environment with modern facilities and resources
- Implement effective leadership strategies to promote high standards of teaching and learning
- Coordinate curriculum development and assessment to maximize student progress
- Foster a culture of aspiration, motivation, and student support
