Kingsway Park High School was established in 2010 and joined the Altus Education Partnership in February 2022. We are now a very popular oversubscribed school (1350 students in years 7-11 and 190 staff) located in central Rochdale. We are very proud of the high-quality facilities, resources, and environment that we provide for both staff and students.

We are looking to appoint a dynamic new Assistant Headteacher who has a real passion and understanding of whole school assessment and utilisation of data for the purpose of evaluation, recording and reporting.  We believe that high quality assessment is the only way to accurately determine whether the desired learning has taken place from the teaching that has been delivered.  The ideal candidate will ensure our whole school assessment mechanisms are clearly designed, consciously considered and linked to the 4 pillars of assessment: purpose, validity, reliability and value. 

The school has already taken many steps forward in this area engaging in professional learning through partnerships including Evidence Based Education and FFT.  We would therefore like the successful candidate to continue to embed and enhance this professional learning approach, working in conjunction with our assessment leads from across the school to secure improvement. You will also be expected to lead the use programs including SISRA, FFT Aspire and Power Bi to support responsive teaching and learning allowing leaders and teachers across the school to plan more effectively.
