Kingsway Park High School
Kingsway Park is proud to be a vibrant, inclusive and diverse school with approximately 1350 students, 47 different nationalities and 25 spoken languages. We have state-of-the-art facilities and we provide an individualised and unique curriculum offer for all students regardless of their starting point, gender, ethnicity, faith or need.
We care for, nurture and develop the whole child while improving aspirations, learning and achievement for all. In addition to ensuring each student’s academic potential, we also prepare them to be socially responsible citizens who can flourish in society and give back to their local community. We seek to remove any barriers of inequity, which prevent equality of opportunity so that all students can aspire and be inspired to realise their dreams.

In-year Admissions:
The Academy participates in Rochdale Council’s in-year admissions coordination scheme for years 7–11. Parents/carers wishing to apply for a place during the school year should do so via Rochdale Council.
Where places are available, they will be offered unless this would adversely affect the efficient provision of education to existing students at Edgar Wood Academy. If a year group is full, parents/carers may request that their child is placed on the waiting list and have the right to appeal.
Appeals for in year applications will be heard within 30 school days of the appeal being received. You will be sent notification of your appeal hearing together with a copy of the Academy’s case at least 10 school days in advance of the hearing.
