Caldershaw Primary School is a nurturing and high-achieving school where every child is encouraged to thrive. As part of the Altus Education Partnership, we believe every child, whatever their background, should have the chance to belong, to achieve, and to become the very best version of themselves. The school sets high standards from the outset, promoting confident learning, positive behaviour, and strong personal development. This culminated in an Ofsted judgement of 'Outstanding' in April 2024.

Caldershaw's approach is built around its CARE values: caring for each other, achieving potential, respecting everyone, and ensuring everyone is included, including children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and additional or complex needs. Its ambitious curriculum, rooted in the National Curriculum, is enriched through trips, visitors, and hands-on experiences, along with a long-standing commitment to environmental education as a Green Flag Eco School and outdoor learning through Forest School. Caldershaw's children consistently achieve excellent results, supported by a dedicated and caring staff team, and go on to lead happy, fulfilling lives as part of the Altus family of academies across Rochdale and its surrounds.
