Altus Art Competition
Across the Altus Education Partnership, creativity has been celebrated through a recent Trust-wide Art Competition inviting pupils and students to create artwork inspired by their own academy building.
The competition brought together young artists from across the Trust, showcasing an impressive range of styles, techniques and interpretations. Students were encouraged to capture the character and identity of their academy through art, resulting in a collection of thoughtful and visually striking pieces.
Winning artwork from each academy will now be proudly displayed within their respective buildings, with copies also taking pride of place at the Altus Trust offices as a lasting celebration of student creativity and talent.
As part of the celebrations, Richard Ronksley - CEO of Altus, personally visited each academy to present certificates and prizes to the winners and runners-up. Certificates of achievement were also presented to all participants in recognition of the excellent artwork submitted across the competition.
Richard commented:
“I want to take a moment to thank our art colleagues and their students for the wonderful entries to the Altus Art Competition. The standard of work has been exceptional, but more than that, the pictures have brought joy to our office over the last few weeks.”
He added:
“I am constantly struck by the depth of creativity, imagination and technical skill shown by our students.”
The competition reflects Altus’ commitment to nurturing creativity alongside academic achievement, providing opportunities for young people to express themselves, develop confidence and celebrate their individual talents.
Staff across the Trust praised the enthusiasm and effort shown by all participants, with the judging panel noting the exceptionally high standard of entries received from every academy.
