Celebrating Continued Improvement in GCSE Results 2026
Kingsway Park High School is celebrating with its year 11 cohort who have achieved a strong set of results, reflecting the dedication, hard work and efforts of students, staff and families at the school.
These achievements are a recognition of the school's high expectations, ambitious curriculum, and positive culture, providing further validation of the progress made in the education being delivered. Students have achieved 36 grade 9s with a total of 237 grades at 7–9.
Headteacher Simon Ward said:
"We are incredibly proud of our year 11 students. These results represent years of hard work, determination, and effort, not only from our young people but also from our dedicated staff and supportive families.
Our year 11 students have not only performed well but have grown into mature, socially responsible citizens during their time at school. We have a motto at Kingsway: you don’t just attend, you belong! Our students have not only achieved for themselves as individuals but are part of the collective legacy of success. At Kingsway, we develop role models who become strong foundations for future generations of students to aspire to and build upon”
Kingsway Park has a long-standing reputation for strong pastoral care, treating all its students as individuals. As a result, the school has recently seen some of the lowest NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) figures within the borough. This is set to continue with many stories of success from this year group.
Our academic success stories include: Emman, who achieved a phenomenal 3 grade 9s and 6 grade 8s; Badar, who achieved grade 9s in English Language and Physics alongside grade 8s in Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology; and Dylan, who achieved grade 9s in English Language, English Literature and History.
We have seen many individual achievements. For example, Ayaan achieved a L2D* (GCSE grade 8 equivalent) in Construction; Samir achieved an incredible grade 9 in Bengali whilst Adrian, Wainya, Amber and Zainab secured L2D* in Sport Studies.
Many students from this pioneering year 11 cohort will now continue their educational journey at Rochdale Sixth Form College, and Kingsway is incredibly proud to see so many students choosing one of the country's leading sixth form providers. Others will go on to colleges, apprenticeships and a range of exciting post-16 opportunities, equipped with the knowledge, skills and confidence to thrive.

As I said to our students earlier this summer, their future is not yet written. Today’s results are not the end of their story, but the beginning of the next chapter.
