Job Title: Head of Year (Non-Teaching)
Required: ASAP
Contract: Permanent, term-time only.
Salary: Schools Support Pay Spine 25-29 currently £35,235 - £38,626 per annum. Actual salary for term time only is £30,443 - £33,373

About the Role:

As the Head of Year, you will be the main point of contact for your Year Group, coordinating pastoral care, managing behaviour and attendance, and promoting the school’s Positive Discipline ethos. You will work closely with students, parents, staff, and external agencies to support students' academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate pastoral support for a Year Group.
• Promote positive behaviour and administer sanctions as per the school’s Positive Discipline ethos.
• Monitor attendance and punctuality, addressing issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate student records and engage with parents/carers.
• Foster a supportive and controlled environment for students.
• Address bullying and support victims.
• Liaise with external agencies for student support.
• Assist with student admissions and monitor their integration.
• Organize and lead Reward Assemblies and Year Team Meetings.
• Support the supervision and organization of staff duties.
• Assist with Parents’ Evenings and extracurricular activities.
• Maintain and update intervention records using Arbor, CPOMS, and Behaviour Watch.
